2025 has been wild for Dragon Ball fans. We’ve had major releases, huge updates, and plenty of buzz that made this year feel like one of the most packed we’ve had in a while.
Sparking! ZERO

Let’s start with the biggest one: Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO. It finally dropped, and fans all over the world jumped in instantly. After years of waiting for a true sequel to the Budokai Tenkaichi series, this game brought back the nostalgia—but with next-level graphics and a crazy roster of characters.
The game was loved for the fighting mechanics and details. The way the camera moves, the blasts, the breakable environment—it all looked amazing. But not everyone was 100% happy. I’m one of those people who started to regret buying it, mostly because it was very expensive. The gameplay was great, but the story didn’t hype me up like I expected. It didn’t feel cinematic. Honestly, Naruto Storm games did that way better, and for a cheaper price too. That’s just how I felt though—you might enjoy it a lot more.
Dragon Ball Daima

Dragon Ball Daima also came out this year. It had a very different style, turning all the characters into kids. At first, no one knew what to expect. But it turned out to be fun. The story was light and full of adventure. It felt like the older Dragon Ball shows in a good way.
Other News
Dragon Ball merchandise is still everywhere. Shops keep restocking figures, shirts, and more—especially Daima items. Some limited drops sold out super fast.
There's also talk about a new Dragon Ball movie being planned, but it's not official yet. Some fans think it could focus on Gohan again. Nothing has been confirmed though.
Online, the Dragon Ball community is active. People are making edits, sharing mods for Sparking! ZERO, and even watching GT again to find links with Daima.
